But in addition to knowing the right time for you to visit the Philippines, it is also best that you have an itinerary in mind to make sure that you don’t miss the great things you can do in the Philippines.

Water Fun

If you plan to go to the beach and engage in some watersports, the best place for you to visit is Boracay. The island of Boracay, with its sugary white sand beaches and azure blue waters, is located on the northwestern tip of Panay, Western Visayas. One of the best things that the island has to offer is the four-kilometer White Beach, which is touted as the “finest beach in the world.” The water surrounding the island is shallow and the sand is finer and brighter than most beaches in the archipelago.

Boracay is a perfect place for watersports. Here, you can enjoy a wide range of aqua sports - from swimming and snorkeling to scuba diving, windsurfing, sail boating, kayaking, boardsailing and boating. The island is also surrounded by dive sites and are learning venues to both novice and professional divers, guided by competent instructors of the many dive shops that operate in the area. For true blue scuba diving enthusiasts, Yapak in Boracay is a great deep dive.

Another place to visit for their beaches is Pagudpud. Located in the Ilocos Norte in the northern part of the Philippines, Pagudpud is reputed to have the longest contiguous white sand with mighty waves and strong winds that can compare to Hawaii. Wind and wave surfing are the outstanding activities that Pagudpud beach offers its very discriminating clientele, not to mention the inviting views, clear blue waters and white sand. Pagudpud promises its visitors a magnificent experience in a secluded paradise.

Mactan Island in Cebu is another alternative. It is a coral island and famous scuba diving and beach site. This tropical getaway endowed with a variety of colors - from its beach, hotels, resorts, nightlife, music, food, drinks - will guarantee to spice up every tourist.

Dakak Beach is another resort you should not miss. The resort is known for its beautifully shaped cove and powdery white sand and is also known as the diving Mecca in Mindanao. Pristine blue waters, excellent dive sites with an abundance of coral reefs and a magnificent sunset horizon characterize this tropical Eden. Dakak Park and Beach Resort boasts of 15 hectares of wooded land, a natural reservoir for native plants and animals and a 750-meter private white sand beach.

Another attraction is the 11-hectare Pearl Farm Resort which is located off the coast of Davao City. The place was literally a pearl farm before where thousands of white-lipped oysters transported from the Sulu Sea were cultivated for their pink, white and gold pearls. It boasts of Samal houses patterned after the stilt houses of seafaring. Beach lovers all over the world visit this world-class beach resort for its white sand and panoramic landscape and seascape.
